Yes, it’s already been a year since Google+ launched and as of June 28, 2012, Google+ is now 1 year old.
In celebration they also launched two major updates which they announced on their official blog.
Google+ for tablets – because of the great response that Google+ received from Android and iOS phones, it was only a matter of time for Google+ to released a tablet version which includes:
- A beautiful stream that styles content based on popularity, type and orientation
- A “lean back” Hangouts experience that’s great for the couch or common room
- Crisper text, fuller photos and easily-tappable actions like +1 and comment
Google+ Events – users can now create invites for their events. Sounds familiar? Well, Google takes it a notch higher by allowing users to customize their invitations with themes and animations.
Events also allowed about a day or two of annoying event notices that flooded most users, including Robert Scoble, who was less than pleased.
The following video details Google+’s new features:
Microsoft announced that they have acquired Yammer for $1.2 billion in cash.
