The much-awaited launching of Instagram web profiles has finally arrived today. They have announced on their blog that it will be rolled out to all users in a few days.
“We’re launching web profiles to give you a simple way to share your photos with more people and to make it easier to discover new users on the web.”
Profiles include a header image tiled with user’s recent uploaded images, a Follow button, and a selection of user photos organized by date uploaded. The header also displays the number of a profile’s followings and followers.
You can visit any Instagram web profile by navigating to instagram.com/[username]. However, since it has only rolled out to a few profiles, you will have to wait a few days to see your own profile, as they try to reach all users by the end of the week.
Instagram Web Profile has just been launched, but its pilot design has been receiving comments already about its likeness to Facebook Timeline‘s design, to which Instagram was sold to.
As an Instagram user, how do you feel about this new feature?
