Facebook has introduced a couple of new tools for video creators. These updates give page admins more control over how their videos are organized and distributed.

The first update gives you the ability to upload videos that are accessible only via direct URL, allowing you to share a video privately or embed it on other sites without ever showing up on Facebook’s newsfeed.



Other new customization features available are as follows:

  • Restrict the audience of the video by age and gender
  • Add custom thumbnails for videos
  • Schedule the video to expire on a particular date

  • Publish video directly to the Videos tab for your Page, without distributing to News Feed or Timeline.
  • Label videos based on interest categories, including Entertainment, News and more.

Facebook has also introduced Video Library where you can organize and update your videos all at once.



What’s more amazing is that it also allows you to look up on old videos and modify in bulk!

No doubt, these new video features are a big plus for page owners! The most obvious benefit of Facebook’s video library is that it makes it easy for users to sort, manage, navigate and organize videos all in one place. Definitely a time saver!

Whereas, Secret Video feature (which I’m very excited to try!) gives you something you can utilize to increase fan loyalty!

For example, Marvel will reveal a new trailer for their upcoming movie on their Facebook page using Secret Video feature. Marvel sends out the direct link through their newsletter. Fans who are subscribed to their newsletters will be the firsts to watch their new trailer through a Secret Video!
