Case Study: The Evolution of Bridal Lingerie (Infographic)

On May 10, 2012, we conducted a content marketing campaign for an Infographic that we had created for one of our clients, which received great traction and success across a number of the top social communities, such as Reddit, StumbleUpon, Pinterest, and others.

When coming up with the concept for the Infographic, we wanted to present something tasteful and unique, showcasing the various changes Bridal Lingerie has gone through over the last 2000 years.

This is a great example of what social content should be; visually entertaining, informative, easy to read and understand, timeless, and of course it has the Lingerie aspect which helps to attract even the male audience.

The details of the campaign are shown below to get an idea on how effective content marketing can be.

Campaign Goals

Our main goal for this campaign was to create and promote something that would be interesting to all audiences, be very related the our client’s product and industry, and to have a high amount of visibility among the top social communities.

Approach Used

We always discuss and determine which social sites we will be engaging with, along with what approach we should take as far as Title, Description, and Categories chosen for the campaign. After that was completed, we started getting the content out to the top communities and the campaign begun.

The initial traction was rather slow, which is not uncommon in content marketing, but over time the StumbleUpon views started picking up, a second submission attempt to Reddit started to get some traction, and the Pinterest re-pins started adding up.
